Membership in SIR is open to men of any age. Branch 35 members currently range in age from 49 to 103, and most of us are retired or semi-retired.
Our member expectations are few: attend our luncheons, be a sociable guy, participate in our activities and events, volunteer when asked, and introduce your friends to the joys of SIR so we can sustain our organization.
You can join our Branch no matter where you live. The top 5 cities in which our members live are Los Altos, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Palo Alto and San Jose, but we have members who live as far away as Contra Costa and Santa Cruz counties. Guys who live that far away have usually joined because of our outstanding golf program. We play 80+ events a year at courses all over the Bay Area and Monterey Peninsula.
Wives and sweethearts are welcome as guests at all of our luncheons and other activities.
