SIR (Sons in Retirement) has some great golfing opportunities for you!<\/span><\/p>\n From 18 hole events on local and private courses to 9 or 18 hole short-course events to our very popular couples events, we have it all.\u00a0 Most of our Branches (clubs) have an affiliated NCGA Associate Golf Club.\u00a0 Most branches play at least once a week at various local courses. Our members enjoy playing with people from their own Branch as well as from other Branches in many different formats from Low Net, 2&4 Man Best Ball, 4 Man Scrambles, and numerous other golf game formats.\u00a0 \u00a0In addition, many of our branches offer away tournaments for all SIR Branch golf members.\u00a0 Each year the SIR State Golf program offers several two and\/or three-day events in various locations such as Reno, Napa, Monterey, Solvang, and other locations.\u00a0 We try to vary the locations from year to year to give our members a variety of golf experiences.\u00a0 Golf tournaments and side trips are also provided for the Ladies, should they want to accompany you.<\/span><\/p>\n Every year in August the SIR State Golf program holds a State Scramble Team Championship to determine the best golf team in our organization.\u00a0 There are Area events held prior to this event to determine the teams which will be invited to the finals.\u00a0 In October we also hold Individual Net Championship to determine the best golfers in SIR by flight based on a player index.\u00a0 Area and Division qualifying tournaments are held at various locations to determine participation in the Individual\u00a0 Championships.\u00a0 Both tournaments are organized by the SIR State Golf Committee made up of 12 members from all of the SIR Golf programs throughout the organization.\u00a0 Check the SIR State Golf website (https:\/\/www.sirgolf.org<\/span><\/a><\/span>) for our current schedule information.\u00a0<\/span>So Come Join Us! \u00a0All our tournaments are handicapped and flighted.\u00a0 It\u2019s all about having fun for golfers of all abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n
