Our league bowls every Tuesday at Homestead Lanes at the corner of Homestead and Stelling Rd. in Cupertino, starting at 1:00 PM; practice lanes are available for 10 minutes. All SIR members are invited to join the group.  Each team is set up with a vacant spot in order to accommodate new members at any time.

We have a great time every week getting together to bowl and rehash some time tested jokes. Another bonus of bowling is that it never gets rained out.  As a member of a league, you also have access to the Alley for games at a discount, if you think practice will help you or if you just want to bowl more.

We bowl on a handicap system, so all bowlers have an equal chance winning the weekly and season team and individual prizes. Bowlers are assigned to teams which compete for the season (4 months) on the handicap basis. Team memberships are revised each season.

Bowling has been popular with Branch 35 members almost from the start.  In 1980 Marty Mathieson, that year’s Big Sir, donated a trophy to be won by the bowler with the highest handicap series during the calendar year. The trophy has been awarded each year since then, and is held by the winner for one year.
